Understanding Tarp Sizes

NOTE: Please note that tarp sizes listed on our site refer to the "cut size," which is the dimension of the material before hemming. Finished tarps are typically 2-4 inches shorter on each side due to the folded and reinforced edges. The original material width (e.g., 61" for vinyl, 144" for poly) can also affect the final dimensions. The AtlasShield® 18 oz White Fire Retardant Vinyl Tarp is built to NFPA 701 certification standards — not as an upgrade, but standard on every tarp we ship. If you're covering equipment in a petroleum facility, enclosing a scaffold at a refinery, or meeting fire code requirements on a DOT job site, this is the tarp that gets specified. Built from 18 oz PVC-coated polyester with 22-mil fabric thickness, rust-proof stainless steel grommets, and heat-welded seams — fabricated factory-direct in the USA with no distributor markup. Available in 7 colors and over 50 standard sizes; custom fabrication to order.
